Julia likes to take a structured approach and develop a plan for strong foundations for an obedient pet or prepare for gundog work in the shooting field or competition work.

During the shooting season Julia picks up on several shoots, and also enjoys rough shooting.

Julia’s love of gundogs started with a family pet chocolate Labrador who showed her the way picking up alongside her husband shooting on a local shoot.

From there Julia started training spaniels and labradors, and works alongside HPR trainers.

Julia has competed in working tests and trials with some success, winning a Novice Cocker Trial, Gun’s Choice and COM’s. She also represents local clubs in team competitions.
